You can form a kinship, which is the Lotro equivalent to a guild, but no, for the most part you won't be able to group together at all times.

ok thanks again.
But if we are like 8 friends that want to play together, it means we can't have a clan, or a party?

DPS is damage per second - so usually used to describe classes that do a lot of damage fast. These classes tend to be quite easliy squished to make up for their damage.

Crowd control is used to describe the way in which players can control the mobs (bad things) coming to hit them. If there's a large group of mobs then certain classes can root or stun them to decrease the number of mobs they face at once and make the fight easier.

Fellowships are indeed 6 player. This isn't the upper limit though, depending on the instance/dungeon you're in, you can take a 12 man raid (2 fellowships) or up to a 24 man raid (4 fellowships) - although the latter will only be at the very end of Helegrod. Most instances in Lotro are 3/6/12 mans.

hmm, I know, it will look really noob, but I am so...what is DPS? And what is crowd control?

I've read that fellowship cannot be bigger then 6 players..is that right? What are the rules for fellowship?

Can we fight some monsters from the movie? like Urukai, the squib at the moria entrance, etc?

I can't wait for the game to go free to play! Thanks for all your answers!
HOpe I'll get my "copies" of Aragorn and Legolas! thank you again!

Music is a totally personal thing. I like the music in Lotro, it's pretty atmospheric, but I'm sure there are people who would disagree.

And about the burglar, I just said that I found myself much preferring it to hunter despite being used to playing a ranged class in my previous game - again, class choice is entirely a personal thing - if you're able to, it's well worth rolling a few classes to get a "feel" for them, and therefore find out which you prefer - often it's not the class you think it will be ;)

Leglolas is indeed easy to copy. Wish I had a pound for every elven hunter out there... :p End of the day, you're creating your character, so it's not really possible for people to choose for you, or to create a clone of someone from the movie. Quick resume of classes below:

Hunter: ranged DPS, some crowd control.
Champion: melee DPS, rather squishy solo, can tank with the right traits
Guardian: heavy armour tank type, some reasonable DPS in overpower stance
Warden: advanced medium armour tank, buffs, self heals, agro by way of gambits
Minstrel primary healer, buffs
Burglar: debuffs, interrupts, reasonable DPS, stealth, crowd control
Captain: secondary healing, buffs, pet, poor DPS (at present anyway)
Loremaster: advanced class, debuffs, crowd control, pet, ranged DPS, secondary healing and power supplier
Runekeeperranged DPS/healing (but not at the same time)

ok thank you again, yes it does help me a lot!!
For the music question, I'm sorry, english is not my first language, but what I mean is, are the musics ahve the same "feelings" than those from the movies?

So you say the Burgla make a better ranger like character? Because as I said, I'm still wondering if I'll make a bow user (like Legolas) or a Aragorn like....
A Legolas seems to be easier to "copy" if you know what I mean! So for this Legolas copy, should I go for a hunter or a burglar and why?

I think you answer most of my questions I had before I started to be interrested in the game now that it is going free to play!
thank you, I may have some more to asked sometime!:)

thanks again.

There are endless debates on the forums about which class Aragorn really is, since he's not actually like any one of them ;) He's closest to a captain, but captains cannot use bows. They are great in fellowships, but at present their soloing abilities leave a little to be desired, apparently they're going to receive a bit of an overhaul when F2P comes out. Best advice I can give you is - try both to at least lvl 20-30 and see if you like em. I thought hunter would be my thing given I was used to playing a ranger in GW before I started Lotro, and I turned out to much prefer the burglar!

Not quite sure what you mean about the music to be honest, so have no idea what the answer to your question is. There's still music throughout the game. Whether or not you'd think it was "like the movies", I ain't got a clue :)

Races do start with different stats, again Lotro-wiki can help you there. They tend to even out in the end though, so it's more a case of which youprefer to look at.

The game is set around Frodo's journey. So you first meet Aragorn just before he meets Frodo and Sam, and you tend to bump into the fellowship along youor own travels from time to time.

Runekeeper = glass cannon, and was put in simply for those who wanted a magic-based class. Loremaster was the original class closest to a wizard.

Hope that helps!

ok, but if I make a Hunter, it will be probably to use a bow, so should I go for an elf? Because I saw on the site you gave me that elves got +15 agility...

I still don't know if I will make a bow user (Hunter) or a Aragorn like character. If I decide to make a Aragorn like, am I right to make a man, captain? Will I be able sto use a two-handed sword, and sometime a bow?

The problem with this site, is that I have no experience in the game, so I think I get better answers to my questions here with you guys than on the site!

For the music question, are the music still in the same kind of the movies?

Do races got different starting stats?

and, when does the game is? I mean, is it during the story we know or before, or after?

Rune keeper are what is nearer of the wizard?

Thank you for taking the time to answer me, I really appreciate it!

Ok, so far I've just been activating those who look like genuine users and avoiding the ones with excessinve numbers or strings of the same letter in their name. Seems to be working (unless you've got that new stuff up and running Krispi? :D)
